Ainsley wanted me to take pictures of her in her new outfit that consisted of a new headband that she loved and wanted to show off.

Caden's playing t-ball/coach pitch this year. This was at "opening ceremonies" where he didn't play, just had pictures taken.

The Best Birthday Surprise Ever . . .

My wonderful husband met Ainsley and I for lunch at McDonald's on the way to a meeting (supposedly) handed me a birthday card (over a month early) and an envelope that had information on attending an Oprah show. At that moment of shock, disbelief, confusion and a whole lot of shaking he explained that my mom and sister were in a car driving to Iowa and would be at our house in a couple of hours and my friend Beth was packing her bags to get on a plane for Chicago so we could all go see the show the next morning. He had made all of the arrangements- dads, grandpas, and husbands were taking off work to watch the kids so the girls could experience something we'd only dreamed of. Better yet, when we arrived at Harpo Studios the next morning and walked through the opening of her set to our seat, we were placed on the second right behind her and Dr. Oz. It was an experience we will never forget and so fascinating just to be on a TV set. We hit Michigan Ave in the afternoon and shared some great meals and amazing memories.

Caden's Party!

We waited until it warmed up to have Caden's 6th birthday party at our house with his friend's from school. It was a LEGO theme of course and he had so much fun.

Spring Break in Kansas City

We spent Spring Break in Kansas City. We helped MeMaw and Great Grandpa K. deliver Meals on Wheels - four generations. We took the kids to Penguin Park and Ainsley shared many cups of "hot tea" with Papa.

The kids got to participate in my sister and brother-in-law's church's 50,000 egg hunt and we went to their church on Sunday morning. It's so nice to be closer to family.

Easter

We traveled to KC for Easter and we celebrated Easter with MeMaw and Papa, Great Grandpa I., Aunt Carrie, Uncle Jason, Caleb, Carter and Chloe on Good Friday. MeMaw had an Easter Egg hunt for them with clues to find their eggs and special gifts.

The Promised Playset

We promised the kids a playset when we moved to Iowa knowing we would finally have a backyard big enough for one. Caden strapped on his Home Depot work apron and never left Jeff's side.

Ainsley was invited to an Easter Egg hunt held my a family from her "school". There were so many eggs, the kids got tired of picking them up!
