Christmas in Chicago

We took off for a weekend in Chicago on December 5th.
My good little travelers . . .

We visited the Children's Museum at Navy Pier again and then it was on to the Winter Wonderland filled with so many lights, trees, rides, bouncehouses, slides, and an ice skating rink.

Afterwards we walked down Michigan Avenue and took in all the lights. We ended up at the John Hancock Building. What a beautiful tree!
Ainsley all ready Sunday morning to go see Santa!

The kids loved Macy's window displays.

We waited 45 minutes to see Santa and the experience was well worth it. We were in a private room with just Santa and a couple of elves taking pictures. He spend so much time with each of the kids talking to them about their lists, and what they needed to do in order to earn the things they wanted.

The kids took their letters to the mailbox afterwards.

Our last stop was Sears tower.

We got to experience the new Ledge. Nothing but 1 1/2 inches of glass between them and the city 103 floors down. It didn't phase them a bit!
